In which I ponder prettiness

While they’re useful and stuff it also helps if they’re decent to look at, a girl cannot live by red pens alone. So I’ve taken to pondering who the prettiest publishing consultant is.

Out of curiosity, when you say “it helps if they’re decent to look at”, is this purely an expression of personal preference, or do you find that it actually helps the work go smoother?
I haven’t a notion, never used one. Ha! It was for a thing, what can I say.
